What Is A Personal Trainer?
Depending on their approach and personality, Personal Trainers are part-coach, part-mentor, part-friend and even part-drill instructor at times. We all have the goal of overseeing an individual’s fitness program in a fitness facility or private setting.
We love fitness, focus on a healthy lifestyle, have a commitment to a fit physique, and a desire to share our passion with others. This allows us to serve as positive role models for the exercise challenged or for those who want to take their fitness to the next level.
Specialist Areas:
- Running
- Returning Injured Clients To Sport
- Improving Sports Performance
- Female Weight Loss/Body Transformation
I am passionate about educating people of the many ways to engage in physical exercise and healthy living. I want to help people achieve their personal health and fitness goals and pursue a healthy lifestyle.
Personal Trainers generally hold a Personal Training Certificate and might have progressed this to higher level certification within the Personal Training field such as GP Referrals, Personal Training for Back Pain etc.
This is perhaps where I stand out, as my background in the health & fitness industry began by graduating with a Sports Therapy Degree in 2004 and then a Physiotherapy Degree in 2010.
Having worked in the NHS, in amateur and professional sport and now in private Physiotherapy practice I have 20+ years of experience in working with people across the spectrum of fitness and sporting abilities. What this really means is whoever you are and whatever your goals I have probably helped someone in a similar situation to you.
My training choice is that of a functional nature – I focus on the quality of movement so that it best translates into everyday life and your chosen sport (if you have one!). As a Physiotherapist with expert knowledge of human anatomy and human movement I am able to ensure your movement quality is of the highest standard so that you are limiting risk of injury and so the exercises you do are the most effective that they can be.
I am dedicated to the improvement of movement, I am committed to improving you. My question to you is 'Are you committed to improving you?’
If you are, and you think that I could be the person to help, please get in touch via my Facebook Page: www.facebook.co.uk/kerricompletept
or email: [email protected]
With a minimum plan of 3-months support, we will first meet to discuss your current level, goals and the journey to getting there. I will then construct a training plan for you and we will meet again to go through the plan, practice the exercises and check technique.
We will then have regular check-in's to provide accountability and keep you on track, and will change up your training plan with programme reviews to keep you moving forwards towards your goals.
